Obituary

Cheri Scott, of Chubbuck, Idaho, passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by family on January 25, 2025, after a long and brave battle with COPD. She was 70 years old.

Cheri was born on December 31, 1954, in Pocatello, Idaho, to Robert and June Leppell. She grew up in Pocatello and graduated from Highland High School in 1972. Cheri devoted 34 years to the Pocatello Police Department, where she worked as a dispatcher and later in the records department, leaving a legacy of dedication and service.

Cheri was married to the love of her life, Robert Scott, for 32 years until his passing in 2016. Together, they built a beautiful life and raised two children, Lindsy and Matthew.  Cheri was also the proud and loving grandmother of Madison Scott, Taylor and Lucas Rosen, who brought endless joy to her life.

A lifelong resident of the Pocatello area, Cheri had a deep love for her community and the outdoors. She cherished spending time with her family, especially on camping trips and fishing outings with her husband. Her home was filled with warmth, laughter, and the companionship of her beloved pets.

Cheri was also an avid crafter, known for her creative talents and the beautiful handmade items she shared with others. She participated in numerous local craft shows, where her work was admired and appreciated by many.

Cheri will be remembered for her unwavering strength, her kind and giving heart, and the countless memories she created with those she loved.

She is survived by her children, Lindsy (Korey) Rosen and Matthew Scott; her grandchildren, Madison Scott, Taylor Rosen, and Lucas Rosen; and her extended family and friends who will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert Scott, and her parents, Robert and June Leppell.

A celebration of Cheri's life will be held sometime this Summer. Once plans are made we will update the date and time here.

Cheri's legacy of love, creativity, and kindness will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
