Christine Patricia Johns (Chris) passed on to our Lord on Thursday, November 6, 2025 of heart failure. She was born in Idaho Falls, Idaho to Helen Johns and Harvey Johns on October 21, 1957.

She spent part of her childhood on the Johns family farm, now known as the west side of Idaho Falls.  The family later moved to Pocatello where Chris entered elementary school.  While growing up, Chris and her siblings spent many weekends and summers at their grandparents, (Arthur and Esta Niemeier) farm in New Sweden.  Chris graduated from Highland High School in 1976.

Chris was employed by Kraft in Pocatello as a forklift driver for many years.  She was later employed at Amy's Kitchen in Pocatello and retired in 2019.   Chris was very close to our mother and cared for her by doing her yard work, harvesting the apple tree and helping with her garden.  Chris and "mom" enjoyed watching many movies together. Chris also had many close friends throughout her life and was a lot of fun, yet she was matter of fact in her approach to life.

Chris was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Furniss (Johns); father, Harvey Johns; and her grandparents, Arthur and Esta Niemeier.

She is survived by her siblings, Corinne Johns, Steven (Robin) Johns of Pocatello, Carolyn Yela Johns of Idaho Falls and Cheryl Miranda of Kauai. Chris had 9 nieces and nephews and 9 grand nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, November 24, 2025 at 3:00 pm at Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery where Chris will be buried next to mother, Helen Furniss.
