Lori D. Cunningham

Lori Denise Cunningham, 66, passed away on April 6, 2026.

Lori was born in Waukesha, Wisconsin. This started her journey growing up on army bases around the US and Germany. She was well traveled before finishing high school at Marsh Valley. She attended ISU and was involved with the Democratic party before becoming a nanny in New York.

Lori married William Cunningham on July 12, 1986 in Pocatello, Idaho but continued to travel around the country with Bill's job. They later divorced. She lived in SLC for many years before moving to Pocatello in 1999 to be near family.

Lori was raised in the Mormon faith but left to practice Buddhism. Both communities loved her and were fortunate to hear her sing and enjoy her cooking during potlucks.

Lori had a lifelong love of books and promoted literacy. She also loved music, especially songs from musicals. She also loved history and current events. Lori always won Trivial Pursuit. She was a big fan of movies and TV shows. Before the internet Lori was the family's google, we would call her for odd facts, lyrics, or names.

A celebration of life will be held for Lori at a later date.
