Pablo Martinez Cantu

The family of Pablo M. Cantu is deeply saddened to announce his passing on Wednesday, August 26th, 2026.

Pablo was born on August 22,1954 in Bartlette, TX to Pablo Sr. and Martha Martinez Cantu.

He was a brother to Guadalupe, Manuela, Petra, Modesto, Richardo, and Genaro. His family moved from Texas to Idaho in 1966.

Pablo proudly worked for the Simplot Gay Mine for 13 years. He was then a Section Man for the Railroad for many years before finally retiring.

He had a love for anything outdoors. He enjoyed four-wheeling, camping, working on cars and spending time with his grandchildren.

Pablo will be lovingly remembered by his sons Michael and Eric, his daughters Cecilia and Byanca, his many grandchildren, and cherished friends.

Pablo wished for a gathering of joy and happiness not of morning or sorrow.

A celebration of life will be held at Portneuf Wellness Complex on September5th at 11:00 am.

The family would like to thank Heritage Hospice and the Monte Vista caregivers for their compassion and care.
