Roberta Marie Eagle, affectionately known to friends and family as Berta, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, in Pocatello, Idaho, at the age of 62.

​Roberta was born on April 16, 1963, in Eugene, Oregon, to the late Alice and Lindsey Smith. She grew up in the area and was a proud graduate of Thurston High School.

​Berta lived a life defined by her warmth, positivity, and boundless love. She held many jobs throughout her life, but her true calling was simply caring for others and spreading joy. She was famously known for always being positive and loving, a trait that brightened the lives of everyone who knew her. Her genuine kindness was a quiet strength, leaving a lasting impression on her community.

​A devoted animal lover, Roberta had a special place in her heart for all creatures, especially horses and dogs. Her passion for animals was a reflection of her gentle soul and her commitment to nurturing life in all its forms.

​Roberta was preceded in death by her loving parents, Alice and Lindsey Smith, and her sister, Debra Smith.

​She is survived by her devoted children: her son, Devin Townsend; her daughter, Shelby Graves and her partner Mason Brady; and her son, Tremaine Root and his partner Joslin Wray. Roberta also leaves behind her cherished grandson, Haunter Graves, who brought immense joy to her later years. She will be deeply missed by her family, who will forever carry her spirit of positivity in their hearts.
