IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Shelby
Statham
October 3, 1976 – February 1, 2026
Shelby Suzzett (Tew) Statham 1976 – 2026
Shelby Suzzett (Tew) Statham, 49, of Pocatello, Idaho, passed away peacefully at Portneuf Medical Center on February 1, 2026. She was born on October 3, 1976, in Saint Anthony, Idaho, to Fred and Sherry Tew.
Shelby grew up in Idaho Falls and attended schools in Bonneville County. She had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in the simple beauty of Jehovah’s creations. Whether gathered around a campfire with loved ones or camping beneath the stars, Shelby felt most at peace when surrounded by nature and family.
Shelby cherished every moment she could spend with her children, even when circumstances and distance kept them apart. She loved hearing about their lives and celebrating their accomplishments.
Shelby was also a passionate reader who enjoyed losing herself in the world of fantasy and suspense. A good book, a cozy blanket, and a hot cup of coffee were her favorite companions on quiet days.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Trevor Len Tew and Tyson Fredrick Tew. Shelby is survived by her parents, Fred and Sherry Tew of Idaho Falls, ID; her sisters, Karee Hudock (David) of Pittsburgh, PA, and Savannah Tew of Pocatello, ID; her seven children, Aubree Doten of Herriman, UT; Fayten Doten of Blackfoot, ID; Mikey Gonzales (Natalie) of Socorro, NM; Azaria Palmer of Anchorage, AK; Ahja Crockett of Spring, TX; Ty Palmer of Anchorage, AK; and Kambri Statham of Pocatello, ID; along with her six beloved grandchildren.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held this summer in her honor.
Honoring Shelby’s generous wish, the gift of life was shared with many people in need through organ and tissue donation. Please consider Organ donation. Donor Connect
